It is also one of the most antibacterial substances in nature, and is used to treat burns and wounds, especially in the Middle East where myrrh originates. There are many people who swear that wearing a string of myrrh beads increases one's fertility and can allow infertile women/couples to conceive a child. I do know one woman for whom this worked.
