Is flaxseed oil safe for men?!


Question: Because I heard it has estrogen like activities and can block testosterone. Even if it blocks prostate cancer, if it blocks my testosterone needed for masculinty and stuff I don't think its good. Masterbation prevents prostate cancer. Also I heard it surpresses sex harmones.

There are some medical or health reports that condemn flax oil for men because the omega 3 in flax oil is ALA and ALA according to some medical or health reports may aggravate prostate cancer but will not necessarily cause it. The omega 3 in soy products and walnuts is also ALA.

Instead of flax oil it is much beter to take fish oil because the omega 3 in fish oil is DHA and EPA which is much better for you than ALA.

Perhaps a search for "flaxseed oil" (OR "flax oil" OR "flax seed oil") + "prostate cancer" might be of interest.
