Question: People who are so depressed with life that they will go through any means to be able to forget about reality and the cold hard truths they face in life every day. People use heroin or drugs in general to become numb, and to be able to have a few hours out of the day where they are able to forget the memories and pains of whatever is hurting or bothering them.

I work in a field where i have to deal with allot of addicts or recovering addicts and i can honestly tell you they are the most miserable, sad people you will ever meet.all of them hate that drug and their lifestyle.almost everyone Ive spoken to tell me how much they wish they had never tried that drug.

I think people take heroin to fill a void, its a cowardly way of taking care of the way you feel. Apperently being high on life just isn't enough that these people have to seek synthetic happiness. I'd rather be living the real life, and feeling real things and real emotions instead of being high, up in the clouds - having no real idea what life is like.

People in all social standing&creed(even the soccer mums)take heroin,it's creeping into wealthy neighbourhoods&is many peoples choice.
Yes some people are junkies they cheat&steal ect to get a fix.
Other people have turned to it through trauma/tragedy.
AND
some people make mistakes&use&end up hooked,but they don't all resort to'junky'behaviour!Ok
You people are not entitled to sit in judgment!Time would be better spent;helping/supporting people to get clean.
