Bach's remedy?!

Question: I suffer terribly with anxiety, will Bach's remedy work as I'd rather take a natural remedy than a perscriptive one. Which form is it best in: Drops/spray/pastilles? How long does it take to work?

Have been using them myself for a while now. I have found Aspen and Mimulus to be excellent for anxiety. Rescue Remedy for when you have nothing else. Willow is also good for sorting your life out. Drops are the easiest way of taking them. Dont be afraid to try them out. Things that come from the earth, trees and plants, will not hurt you. Best of luck with this sweetie, I know how bad anxiety can be. X

My mum swears by the drops, she uses them all the time.
I have used it in the past but can't say that it has ever really calmed me down that much although I did use it on my wedding day to calm my nerves and it seemed to work, or maybe that was the champers I had with my bacon sarnie that morning!!

If you want to go down the homeopathic remedy root it is best to see a qualified homeopath or at the very least a doctor or pharmacist with a special interest in it. This is because the third principal of homeopathy is that medicines are prescribed individually by study of the whole person according to basic temperament and response. Some of the flower remedies and homeopathic products can be very expensive and it seems a shame to spend all that money on something that wont work for you as it was just taken of the shelf with no real knowledge.

I have tried the Rescue Remedy - spray and drops but they haven't worked for me though I know people who swears by them.

Hello,
I use Bach remedy on occasion. It does help, but I think the effect is largely pshycological (which is better than nothing).
I find the spray easiest and most convenient - the spray is supposed to work pretty much straight away as it is absorbed quickly.

Bach flower remedies are quasi-homeopathic. Their selection is irrational, and they are far too dilute to have any effect. Even the most prominent academic supporter of AltMed in Britain, Edzard Ernst, concludes they work no better than placebo. Save your money.

If you are suffering terribly with anxiety, there really is no reason to prolong the pain. See a real physician for diagnosis and probably a prescription for a modern tranquilizer. You'll probably be advised to look into cognitive therapy long term.

I use the Rescue Remedy when i am having a bout of anxiety and for me it works great..not as good as the Zanax but it's a great alternative. I use the drops and works in a few minutes
