Vit. C as the cure-all for colds is based on old, shaky, research from decades ago. Just take a generic multivitamin, drink lots of water, avoid large amounts of things that dehydrate you(caffeine, chocolate), and exercise regularly. If you are succeptable to getting colds each winter due to poor health or are elderly then I would get a flu shot. Otherwise, don't get a flu shot....it may weaken the immune system of a strong, healthy individual. (a school nurse told me that.....her personal opinion, of course)

your def doing enough thats alot of vitamin c

No, I would no take more Vit c. To much is harmful. Just remember good hand washing, hand washing, and hand washing, and if you dont have any symptoms chill on the vit C

Go get a flu shot and maybe a pneumonia shot. At the first sign of a cold take a Zicam...it really works.

If you are generally in good health, eat good things and take some vitamins to support immune function such as 500mg Vit C, 200 iu Vit E, then you don't need a flu shot, or anything like that. Try to avoid people with colds, and keep your hands clean and away from your face. A cold is caused by a virus and if you come in direct contact with the cold virus and it gets in your eyes, nose or mouth you will catch a cold.

I think this is right enough for you.good keep on

Besides what you are already doing, which will certainly help to boost your immunity, you could also take 3 to 6 high strength odourless 3,000 mg garlic oil capsules every day.

Garlic will boost your immune system and is both an antibacterial agent and an antimicrobial agent.

A multivitamin as well every day would also be a good supplement.

What makes you think that all that Vit. C is going to keep you from getting sick??? That is only a minor part of staying healthy. The No. 1 reason people catch cold is that they are close to someone else who has just coughed or sneezed and the bacteria are propelled into the air and you breath it in.
Americans are very inconsiderate about how they
cough or sneeze. Please
everyone, cough into your sleeve or inside your shirt!!!
If you hear someone coughing, walk away!!!
Kids especially are little bacteria spreaders.
Everytime you touch a door
handle you wipe off the previous person's bacteria.
Keep anticeptic wipes in your purse or pocket. Wash
your hands a lot. when leaving a restroom, use the towel to wipe the door handle and the light switch.
Here's a 100% way NOT TO CATCH A COLD(almost).
Carry a ziploc baggie in purse or pocket. Inside have
a Kleenex soaked in KAZ
(which is what you put in a
vaporizer. Sold in drug stores.)
Kaz is a 3-way combination
of eucalyptus/menthol and
camphor oils. Soak the Kleenex and open the Ziploc
and breath deeply of the Kaz.
No flu or cold bacteria or virus can live in the presence of these three oils. Keep the ziploc bag with you at all times and keep the kleenex full of
Kaz.
(Everyone who reads this, please print it out and tape it next to your medicine chest
so I don't have to keep repeating this like last winter.)

You are getting plenty of Vit C. You can't OD on Vit C. It's a water soluble vitamin and whatever the body doesn't need, it gets rid of.

The other thing you can do is take Beta Carotene.
It's a water soluble form of Vitamin A. It will also help protect you from illness.

Make sure your vitamins are in capsule or liquid form. Pills go right through you.

Ginger tea with honey.
Onions contain Quercetin an immune booster.
Ecchinaccea a herb that helps to boost your immune system.
Chicken soup with garlic, ginger and vegetables.
Dress in layers and wear a hat.
