What is organised religon and why are some people against it?!

Question: just curios

Answers: just curios

I am assuming that you are referring to Christianity.
When Jesus established His church, He did not go to the authorities to get permission or to register with some government agency.

All through history, the church has tried to be the church and the government as well. Our Constitution, U.S.A., states that the government will not establish a national religion such as was the case in England.

So we were free to worship as we pleased.

Then the Church decided to organize as as if it were a corporation and went to the State Department, filed forms and became corporations which gave them immunity from law suits.

Then they went to the I.R.S., and filed forms to be tax exempt under regulation 501-(c)-3.

In both cases, the church left it's first love for Christ, and co-mingled with the government. Did Jesus co-mingle? No.

Therefore, when they did that they no longer were a church, but became a corporation existing under government laws.

A real Church does not organize in that way. When it does happen, there in no longer "Separation of Church and State" that we hear so much about.

There is much more, but that will get some of the basics to you.

God Bless,
Daniel

It's certainly not an alternative medicine. Although some of the bible thumpers might disagree. Why not ask this in the religion and spirituality category? It's quite a spirited group over there. A bit wacky, but spirited nonetheless.

"Organized religion" is mainstream religions such as Christianity and all it's subdivisions, Judiasm, Muslim, Hinduism, etc.

Unorganized religion would be if you just believe in a god and be a decent person, but don't have a specific religion you follow.

Some people (including me) are against it because it is usually corrupt (i.e. they care only about money) and they invent ridiculous rules you have to follow that are not in the Bible and have nothing to do with God or getting to heaven.
They also subject children to these things which they have no clue about. It is poison to the mind, some people devote their whole lives to a "religion". They neglect their families and treat people who aren't part of thier faith badly.

Not EVERYONE who follows an organized religion is like that, but it definitely happens, and it is definitely not healthy for society.
