I have offered abdominal massage to my patients and most have refused because of the great amount of emotion stored there.
My experiences have been wonderful with my own abdominal massage sessions. I get to cry and feel better afterward.
Also, I have no idea what the second fellow here said or meant by what he said, so beware.
most dont do it because it is a place of insecurity in most, and most people dont like it. If I have a client with bowel problems I will reccomend it. Just ask you MT if she could do it it shouldnt be a problem but it probably need to be requested. I dont include it in my full body sessions
I have had it done and I liked it once you get over the initial insecurity, It is great for cramps. Id rather have the time spent on my back though
