depends on cause of ulcer
if it is bacteria pepto is good
about a year ago I read an article about how tetracycline and bismuth (pepto) actually cure come types of ulcers.

Its good for a short period. all it does is coats your stomach, that way you won't feel the burning. But once the coat is gone the pain comes back...

i actually have ulcers and i've found pepto to have no good effect malox was much better you can also take some otc zantac it's much cheaper than prevacid and you don't need a prescription.

my bros it help anyway it is not all that active immediately you start to use it but give it a trial

No. Pepto neutralizes acids in your stomach. The ulcer is an infection caused by the alkalizing of that acid. The acid is there solely to kill infectious pathogens.

If you have an ulcer GET SOME MEDICAL HELP. Don't use some over the counter stuff to treat something like that

No, avoiding the acid is whats good for your ulcer. Pepto only masks it. You need to get it taken care of not try to give yourself a fast fix! Don't drink alcohol and stay away from acidic and greasy foods. Be good to yourself and eat healthy for a while! Good Luck! PS. My friend has an ulcer and he didn't take good care of himself, just masked the pain with tums and pain pills. Now he has to have surgery!

yes, but it is not the answer. it will do fine for temporary relief. you need to take medicine for the treatment of ulcers for them to go away
