What are the benefits of using complementary therapies to treat childhood illnesses for families and children?!

Question: complementary therapies such as aromatherapy, acapuncture, chriopractic and massage

Answers: complementary therapies such as aromatherapy, acapuncture, chriopractic and massage

Complimentary therapies may actually turn into complete therapies on their own. A lot depends on the type of childhood illness you are talking about. I've seen biomed and chelation work wonders for children suffering from autism and autism spectrum disorders - to the point that they lost their ASD diags and became normal, functioning children who could even attend regular school without psych meds.

I've seen chronic ear infections treated by chiropratic care, tea tree and garlic oil, and several other things that reduced or completely eliminated the need for allopathic symptom masking.

The whooping cough that my vaccinated daughter contracted was actually better treated by mullein tea than the asthma meds the MDs gave.

Natural therapies and traditional medicine have been around much longer than our modern medicine and allopathic symptom care.

For whatever you are trying to treat as a childhood illness, it would be best to search for that specifically and find the remedies and cures that natural and traditional medicine has to offer.

For our family, only in case of extreme emergency do we seek out the help of nouveau modern medicine docs . . .aka MDs.

There is nothing wrong with using any of these as long as they do not supercede medical care and supervision by a physician.

If the patient feels better using them use them, might be mind over matter but no harm done.

Acupuncture has a good reputation for helping with nausea. Chiropractic is also excellent- great for treating all kinds of pain.

Anything that you can try before resorting to harsh medications is a beneficial thing to do. However, that doesn't mean that serious matters shouldn't be discussed with a physician. But, people are so overmedicated these days, so I wish more people would try alternative therapies first.

There are no benefits. These "complementary therapies" are worthless. (Maybe massage is an exception so long as it doesn't involve crackpot stuff such as Reflexology).

Helpless amd trusting children should not be involved in adult altmed fantasies.

I am afraid generally they offer little more than placebo effects.

children accept these therapies more than adults do. Adults have their views on these and are more skeptical about them, where as children are natural healers themselves and invite this type of healing.

I esspecially like treating children because of this and when i have my own children, they will be treated in these ways from day one x
