Green tea - does anyone know if drinking too much of it is bad for you? And how much is 'too much'?!

anything too much is bad for you, including drinking plain water. I don't think green tea will harm you. just drink reasonable amounts each day. if you're wondering what I consider reasonable, 2-3 bottles is more than enough.

It is full of antioxidants. It is suppose to be good for you. I haven't heard that you can drink too much. But remember moderation seems to be the key to everything.

I don't drink it, but if it has caffeine in it, too much caffeine is not good for you. Everything in moderation.

Yes you can drink too much green tea. Signs of overdose are lime green or gray skin, large elongated and even tilting eyes, an enlarged body and others.

yes it is bad for you if u drink to much u could die its the same with to much water so be carful dont drink it all the time plus the caffene is not very good for u so dont let that be ur main drink hope this helps

Not only drink a green tea, everything to much is not bad that is what Islam teach us. Otherwise I red in the healthy magazine that green tea is good for somebody who want to loose her/his weight so I suggest you to drink it 1 or 2 times a day.

To much of any liquid is not good for you, even plain clean water, if consumed in great quantities it can have a detremental effect on your health

i listened to an interview on abc radio with a professor who is working on life longevity, he recomends at least a pot of green tea per day, as green tea contains not just antioxidants, but a chemical, that they are trying to make into capsule form, that they have found contributes to lengthening the life span in humans, this capsule should be on the market with in the next few years, sorry i can't remeber the name of it, but you would probably colapse from exhaustion from trying to drink to much green tea, before it did you any harm, i drink at least 2 pots a day, and have done for a number of years, without any side affects.

About 6 months ago i moved to aussie. I discovered a thing called green tea, i started drinking it about 6 months ago i drank it everyday until about 1 month ago i started off for about 2 cups a day to the 3 cups and so on until i reached about 8 cups a day i didn't think at the time it would be bad for me only make me better.

To tell you the truth i have never been the same guy ever since i started drinking it. About a month ago i was told i had Anxiety Disorder. Although i didn't mention to the doctor i drank green tea ever since i have been here i don't think it has helped me in anyway.
i stopped green tea ever since i got told i had anxiety disorder after about 2 weeks my panic attacks seem to be not as often as they were, So i wanted to try somethink i drank green tea for a day or two and stopped. My panic attacks begin to come back more often and i still have them everyday up in till now. I never was like this back in england so maybe green tea is the answer to my illness, but i do have more reasons why i have anxiety so don't get thinking green tea has causes it, it has made it worse.

Drinking green tea is definitely beneficial for you! But yes, too much of anything is bad. But don't stop drinking green tea! Green tea helps the body in functioning properly!

I live with a Afghan family for about over 5 years and any day or time you find them always drinking green tea as in 24/7 not only them but the rest of there family and friends put it this way most afghn people drink it even when they work they take it with them and so far they are healthy green tea is good for many reasons and is always a better alternative to coffee or tea
