Chinese Techniques?!

Question: Are there any really good tutorial on teaching yourself the arts of chinese medicine. I don't mean co-ordinated medicine, but medicine as in there secret arts of medicine. There techniques for muscle tension releasing, or skills that grand master's end up knowing after many years in the martial arts?

I personally do not know of any tutorials, however it does take a lot of time. My TCM tutor did mention something that stuck with me. "Learn to cultivate silence and peace inside of yourself". I know it sounds very much like a Fortune cookie, but I think he has a point. We live in a very active world and it's based on getting adrenaline pumping. It's taken me three years (and counting) of active meditation to get to a point of quiet. Alternative/complementary medicine is an art combined with knowledge. Maybe you could have a think about Applied Kinesiology which works with the innate healing ability of the body and works on correcting meridians on the subconscious level. It is also called muscle testing and it is based on chinese philosophy. I have been training for two years in this and I find it fascinating and it is a skill that takes a couple of years to develop. Kinesiology is however, very simple to learn. Hope this helped!

Shiatsu (Japanese?) and accupressure.
