Nope. Are you? The NHS has cut some funding to homeopathic treatments and other alternative healing modalities. They have also cut funding to administrative staff, call takers and nurses, due to budgetary constraints. Should people who value nurses, administrative staff and people who answer phones give up and go away?
The body of scientific research on alternative health practices than that of western medicine, although there is a growing body of this research that shows efficacy of natural alternatives. Trouble is, the profit margins on the natural alternatives are lower and the cure rates in some cases, higher. The rate of bad side effects that require additional, expensive medical treatment, lower.
Natural health is not where the big money is, It creates an independent population who are net dependent for life on expensive medicines but rather promotes wellness.
A large organization that profits from its clients dependence on chemical medicines and long term medical care that is suffering budget cutbacks, of course, would cut funding to those things that do not guarantee continuous dependence on the system.
I worked in the research department of a major pharmaceutical company for a while, I know how the drive to procure and maintain multi-million dollar profits for a particular drug works.
I have also had a few debilitating and one life threatening medical condition in my lifetime that doctors failed to cure, even told me there was no hope of cure, only a life time of manageing symproms by using expensive drugs that had terrible side effects.
Ultimately I found cures in the alternative/natural health community and have become a natural practitioner myself. In seven years as a Reiki Master teacher working in a health center with a variety of natural practitioners, I have seen many people healed and cured with greater quality of life and less expense than possible with western medicine.
Both have their place. It just strikes me that so many people with littke knowledge or experience in this area, rather than opening their minds and being willing to learn something or support something that actually helps people would rather just work to keep the rest of the population in the dark. What do they think they have to lose?

Do you mean people practicing homeopathy? I don't know why homeopaths should "go away" anyway. Personally, I have too many clients that I am treating with great success.
Pity that orthodox medicine made them so ill in the first place and never took the time to figure out what was wrong with their patients.
