Any cleaner you use needs to be rinsed off with water and then alcohol in order to make sure it doesn't leave any residue. Also, mixing with a hand blender isn't recommended - for oils, just roll the bottle between your hands. Lotions are a little more difficult, but you can mix it using a wooden spoon. You don't want to adulterate the oils with any others as that can affect their properties.
