In the book "Green for Life" (2005) Victoria Boutenko talks about Otto Warburg on pages 80 & 81.

.

Another one is in 1976, two-time Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling, PhD, and an associate, Ewan Cameron, M.D., did a published scientific study in Scotland that resulted in proving that Vitamin C, given by I.V., of 10 grams a day, could extend the average length of time a terminal cancer patient lives by six times or more.

You are probably thinking of Johanna Budwig.
She didn't actually win a noble prize (she was just nomited for it 7 times, which is still pretty close); rather she used the work of Otto Warburg (who earned a noble prize for his discovery) for curing cancer.

Basically, Otto figured out that cancer occured from cells becoming aerobic and no longer using oxygen (most likely because they lost their ability to accumulate it).
Johanna used his work to design a diet that reversed the process.

I used to think her diet was silly, but from actual experiences I've seen it get amazing results, and the entire theory behind it makes sense.

Hope that helps! I'd be happy to answer any additional questions.
