Coconut Oil is a saturated fat that is made up of Medium Chain Triglycerides that your body metabolizes quickly for energy, including Lauric Acid (which is also found in a mother's milk).

It's perfectly safe to take daily, as long as you take the proper doses. Some of the "bad warnings" may be about taking too much (which is bad for anything, regardless of what it is).
