Do you know of natural remedies or common practices that were once considered witchcraft in the 1600-1800's?!

Question: I am looking for now accepted alternative medicine practices in western culture to compare to folk medicine or healers herbs recipes to compare to common uses.

For example, echinacea for cold prevention now? salt water gargling for sore throat treatment? what was used way back when?

How to treat infected cuts? Then and now (naturally)

How to control fever etc?

Any links you can provide are greatly appreciated.

Honestly, using most herbs were considered witchcraft during that timeframe. I don't believe gargling salt water was used back then, but most things we refer to as "folk medicine" were witchcraft back then.

Of course, with how technology has improved, if any of today's medical techniques were brought back to the 1600s, they would probably call that witchcraft, too. LOL!

Let me make it simple for you. Get the book "Herbal Healing (Phyllis Balch).
Sorry, but I don't do links!
