Antibiotics that would be prescribed to treat a unrinary tract infection would be either,Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole
(Bactrim,Septra),ciprofloxacin(Cipro),...
or cefixime(suprax).
You can also take Uva Ursi.It is also known as bear berry or Kinnikinnik. It is used to prevent and treat urinary tract infections. It's leaves contain arbutin, which acts against E.coli and increases urination.

I hope I was of some help.Take care.

I can't remember what meds they prescribe, but I think it is just a broad spectrum antibiotic.

Drink plenty of fluids, avoid coffee, tea and soda. Wear cotton underwear (and stop wearing any that are too tight or that chafe), synthetics don't breathe enough. And don't douche. Pee after sex, or better yet take a shower.
