Question: What kinds of complementary or alternative methods can be used for migraines!?
Answers:
When we had our second child, I was getting migraines almost daily due to the sleep deprivation!. The migraines I was having weren't the full out, puking in the toilet, can hear a pin drop in Houston when I am in Chicago, ready to shoot yourself because of the pain migraine!. The ones I were having were about a 6 out of 10 scale (not debilitating, but they still sucked after having them daily for a couple of months)!.

My doctor is the type that like to try alternative remedies sometimes over prescription meds!.

As a disclaimer: I am not a doctor!! This is the advice that was given to me and I am simply passing it on!. Check with your own doctor and get their opinion on this!.

My doc put me on the following vitamin regimen:

Multi-vitamin (any kind) 1 time daily
1 Calcium/Zinc/Magnesium supplement 2 times a day
1 Vitamin B complex 1 time a day
3 1000mg Fish Oil Softgels 1 time a day

Within two days, I was migraine free!. I still take the regimen when I think of it (I'm not the best at remembering vitamins when I am feeling well)!. My full-blown debilitating migraines went from about 3 to 4 a year to once a year or less (been about 18 months since I last took a prescription migraine remedy)!.


One other thing that I have heard people swear by to cure a migraine is Benadryl!. Some people say it works for the migraine!. Others say it helps for the nausea that comes with the migraine!. Personally, the only thing I found it good for is if I take two Benadryl, I go to sleep and don't feel the pain!.

It might be worth a try!. It really does work for some people!. It may be worth a try!.

Chiropractic treatment is very good to treat migraines and I've heard of people using Acupuncture, Acupressure, and/or Reiki, but I've never experienced those!. If that doesn't help enough, Vinpocetine can also help with parts of the brain that are affected by migraines (which may help reduce the severity)Www@Youqa@Cn

For migraine do these breathing exercises and you will not need medicine!.
Build up your timing gradually!.If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after 1 minute!.
Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second!. Stomach will itself go in(contract in)!. The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically!. Establish a rhythm and do for upto 15 minutes twice a day!.(Max 60 min/day) Not for pregnant women!. Seriously ill people do it gently!.
