canker sores and cold sores are totally different things!. canker sores are ulcers, cold sores are herpes!. gargling with warm salt water, using kankaid or something like it while eating, and avoiding citrus until it's gone should help clear up canker sores!. they sure do suck!. hope it goes away soon :) good luck!. btw cold sores are contagious, canker sores are not!.!.!.Www@Youqa@Cn
An old folk remedy is to eat cottage cheese!. It works!. I think it is because the sores (cold and canker) happen when the body is low in calcium!. No scientific proof to back this up!. But I get coldsores on occasion and taking extra calcium heals them up pretty quick!. Much faster than running the course!.Www@Youqa@Cn

Take like 3 to 4 tsp!. and swish it around your mouth for about 1 to 2 min!. or so!.
you should repeat this 3 to 5 times a day

I read somewhere to rub lemon juice on a cold or canker sore!. I have not needed to try this yet but will next time I have a cold sore!.Www@Youqa@Cn
