yes, in fact, they used them during Biblical times--try Googling this book: Healing Oils of the Bible--there's alot of great information and techniques in there! I'm a nurse, but i do believe in alternative medicine--the oils are a gift from God and we are to learn about them and apply them! Good luck!Health Question & Answer
