Mrs Winslow Medican Bottle!

Question: Mrs Winslow Medican Bottle
I was helping build a damb in a local stream this weekend, whilst picking up rocks in the water, I felt a little bottle, so I pulled it up..
It said;

Mrs Winslow's Syrup the Anglo American drug co successors to Curtis and Perkins proprietors..

Does anyone know anything about this, and what era the bottle was made.?

Thanks in advance =)Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Mrs.. Winslow's Soothing Syrup was used during Victorian times, for over 50-60 years according to product material/adverts I read, for teething children and babies primarily.. The syrup contained morphine, opium and a "secret herbal syrup".. It was later known to have killed some of the babies and children that were given it.. It had 65mg.. of morphine in it per fluid ounce.. It came package with "trading cards" and calendars which are exceptionally beautiful.. The bottles are, for the most part, worthless because they are extremely common.. There is a "pontillated" bottle, however, which is much less common and therefore valuable.. There is a ton of info available online about this syrup.. Please look there for further information/pricing guides/history..Health Question & Answer
