Are there any home remedies to get rid of mosquito bites fast?!

Question: Are there any home remedies to get rid of mosquito bites fast.?
I received three mosquito bites on the back of my thigh and together, the three bites swelled to create one big bump.. I can't wear anything longer than the location of the bump, or it will itch like mad.. The swollen area hurts, not to mention itchy! It's really annoying when I try to lie down to go to bed, or when I'm sitting on the couch ! Help!! Health Question & Answer

I agree with Thesmin T.. I just got 60 wicked mosquito bites on my leg last week.. I was really upset because I'm going to the beach soon and I wanted my legs to look good.. And of course, they itched like heck, especuially the ones on the back of the thigh, yikes!

I bought some $8 Calamine lotion and used it for two days.. I had to reapply all over my legs every three hours (even at work, ugh!).. It was sticking to my pants and when it dried it caked on but was still all sticky..

I had bought some witch hazel ($1) for a facial astringent, and it says is works for bites, too.. I didn't expect it to work, but I used it once a day for two days and the itching was gone and the swelling went away and my legs feel and look great (er, normal (: )

I will never use anything else again!

Don't itch or you'll get scabs that will scar for a while, put on some witch hazel now! It doesn't even sting, I swear it's amazing..

Health Question & Answer

You can use salt (wet the area and rub in some salt--itching should stop), lemons (if you just HAVE to scratch it, scratch it with a lemon half and there will be no infection), apple cider vinegar, a paste of baking soda, a soaking in water, or calamine lotion will hopefully stop the itching and help it heal.. If not, Cortaid will hopefully help..Health Question & Answer

vinegar it stops the itching and deadens the pain but unfortunately it won't reduce the swelling as that is a reaction to the bite itself
Health Question & Answer

vinegar always worked for me :)

and after the smell evaporates then u are protected yet NOT smelly :)
