I don't want anything addictive though..Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Tylenol PM
but don't over do it or you'll be groggy all day longHealth Question & Answer

There are over the counter "Sleep aid" medications available.. Just ask at your pharmacy.. They are not as effective as prescription medications, but can really help.. There are also lots of other things you can do to help you fall asleep more easily.. Try reading about it.. And if those don't help, talk to your doctor..Health Question & Answer

ALL sleep medications are addictive, with perhaps the exception of melatonin..
Don't drink coffee, juice or ice cream past 4:00PM! This is the mistake most people make..
And to fall asleep, drink a glass of warm milk, then a glass of red wine, then spank your monkey - works every time!Health Question & Answer

Melatonin is your best bet.. Benedryl, Tylenol PM, etc.. all have an antihistamine in them, which is the ingredient that makes you sleepy.. But, Melatonin will help reset your body clock.. Take it 1/2 before you want to go to bed.. As always, if you have persistent insomnia, you should see your doctor.. You may have some type of sleep disorder.. Lack of sleep can mess with your whole body, never mind your brain.. Health Question & Answer

If you start taking Melatonin, your body will quit producing it, and you will become dependent on it.. I suggest some nighty nite tea or sleepy time tea.. If that doesn't help, you should probably consult a dr..Health Question & Answer

Benadryl.. It's the main ingredient in tylenol pm and the other pm drugs.. You can get a generic really cheap at walmart or a drugstore.. It's gentle and not addictive..Health Question & Answer

Instead of the over-the-counter medicines, why not try some of the home-remedies from here:
