Has anyone ever had their IQ tested professionally.? What was the score.? and do you feel the job you have chosen reflects your capabilities..Health Question & Answer

Despite testing when I was about 7 or 9 yrs old [I scored 138 too] The only good it ever did me was give me the confidence of my intellect despite the apparent evidence to the contrary [Dyslexia]
Sadly career wise I suffered health problems in my 30's just when I had gained the confidence to apply my intellect in a creative manner.. I was recognised by some of my clients as 'something special' but I never did realise the promise that score implied..
I have left my legacy in some ideas that have changed things in this world but there was no money in it for me.. Others got rich because I was too willing to prove my value to them without protecting my intellectual property..
My advice...... if you identify with my remarks and are young enough and fit enough to start again, then get yourself a trusty friend or partner who recognises your talents and LET them manage you! They'll do a better job, whilst you pump out the ideas..Health Question & Answer

I got mine tested proffesionally on two occasions on my first one ( i was 12) i got 139 and ive had one done recently and its 145.. I was dead supprised considering im scatty as anything.. I feel like my courses i picked in a level really reflect my capabilities, and the job im doing not so much no but i hope to be a forensic scientist..

I had my IQ tested in the US when I was 21 and I scored 138, I rememeber being very surprised, I knew I wasn't stupid, but I didn't think i'd score that high either.. I was pleasantly surprised.. I'm not sure what the contributing factors have been; I had a good private education, both my parents are highly intelligent so I guess genes has something do with it.. I'm an Osteopath which requires a very varied set of skills from good analytical / diagnostic skills, good hadns on Kinostetic skills and bewing able to relate well to people.. I think I satisfy this remit well and have never done a job which has required such a wide range of skills as the one I do now..Health Question & Answer

Yeah I did a Mensa test, I got 138 on one and 145 on the other, puts me in the 99..3rd Percentile.. Don't really think it had anything to do with the job I have since I started before I got tested, i'm 21 by the way..Health Question & Answer
