Question: Is stevia safe for me to use in drinks.?
its illegal in america to eat/drink stevia as a sweeter...... but why.... i want to use it in place of sugar.... what is it going to do to me.....?Health Question & Answer


Answers:
It's not going to do anything to you.. It's perfectly safe, as opposed to artificial sweeteners..

It's illegal in many countries (unless you buy it as an ornamental plant) because it threatens the sugar industry (huge bucks!!!) and the artificial sweetener industry..

The big tycoons want to save their bacon..

It's also illegal in my country, but you can buy the plant as ornamental plant in pots.. You can therefore use the leaves as you please..

It is legal to use in America and can be found in most health food stores or on-line.. It's not going to do anything to you except make your drinks taste sweeter WITHOUT the harmful effects of artificial sweeteners or the carbs and calories of sugar!

I live in Massachusetts & they sell it @ the local health food store.. I currently have some individual packets of it they gave away as samples.. I don't like the taste of it or ANY artificial sweetener, nor do I add sugar 2 anything (I use organic local honey) - that's Y I still have the samples - 4 guests !Health Question & Answer

stevia is not illegal to use in the united states.. i live in texas and i use stevia in my drinks.. a very large grocery chain in texas is h..e..b.. they carry it and health food stores do as well..Health Question & Answer
