Ear candles can be purchased from most health stores.. They are made of cotton and wax and are hollow.. The person lies with head on the side, ear to be treated upward.. You insert one end into the ear - only into the opening and not far in.. Light the other end.. It burns very slowly about 2mm per minute.. Ear candles work by creating a gentle vacuum.. They are very soothing and help to melt and draw out wax..
Each packet comes with instructions, it's very easy to do.. Best to have someone else do it for you at first..
After candling drop in a few drops of garlic oil.. Or use mullein flower oil and garlic.. These oils fight infection and reduce inflammation; they are specific for the ear and respiratory tract infections..
It's very easy to make your own garlic oil: peel and chop one clove and cover with about a tablespoon of cold pressed oil (olive oil or almond oil are good) in a clean container..
After an hour, strain and the oil will be ready to use.. Keep for 48 hours, or less if in hot weather.. Make a new batch as needed..
Garlic oil is a brilliant remedy of a child with earache..
also take garlic and echinacea internally as immune boosting and infection fighting agents..

My first question would be is, where did you get the ear drops and how long have you been using them.? If you got them over the counter, they may not work.. If you got them from your doc.. then use them for the alloted time period.. If it still isn't unclogged at that time, you need to see an ENT doc.. They can go in and sucction out the wax..

'clogged ears' are usually the result of an inflammation or infection of the eustacion tube, and while ear drops may help, depending upon what they are, you will most likely need an antihistimine to help 'dry out' the tubes, go to your physician for a consult, do not try home remedies on this, it can be serious......Health Question & Answer
