Some of the most popular natural products for helping with mood are St. John's Wort, SAMe, 5-HTP (or Tryptophan), Rhodiola Rosea, and some stress-relievers like GABA or L-Theanine can help, too.
Aside from supplements, you can also try going out and doing things you enjoy, spending time with friends, or even having a good cry. If that's not enough to help, maybe talking it out with a trusted friend or an objective third-party person (like a counselor).
Just remember, even though you might feel bad, it's never as bad as it may feel. Everyone goes through tough times and we can all get through it... sometimes we just need a little extra help ;-) Good luck!

I agree with the second answer. I'd also like to add that taking a B Vitamin complex (lots of B Vitamins in 1 pill) can really help a lot! And it doesn't hurt to take it either as you urinate what you don't need.

Other supplements to try that weren't mentioned are passion flower, valerian (can cause drowsiness), and bach's flower remedies (personally, I've never had luck with Bach's Flowers but others swear by them), magnesium with calcium, and some suggest that omega supplements can help.

Just be careful and read up on supplements before taking them. If you are bipolar, some of these depression/anxiety fighting herbs can hinder instead of help. There's lots of info on the net. Best of luck to you!Health Question & Answer

St John's Wort can be bought from chemist's (in the UK; don't know about other countries). Prozac did nothing whatsoever for me, Venlafaxine stopped working, I had side-effects from Citalopram and am now on Cipralex. I read somewhere that in Germany, St John's Wort is prescribed for depression instead of the conventional anti-depressants.Health Question & Answer
