I need some relief from the pain in my hip and back.Health Question & Answer

I swear by my chiropractor. He has been my 'doctor' for the last sixteen plus years. Not only did he help me to recovery from a very bad back injury (NO SURGERY!!) but he also helps me with nutrition for myself and family. My chiropractor practices using a technique called kinesiology. I recommend it highly.

To handle a problem you may need to see a chiro for an extended period of time (I had to when fixing my back). many chiros recommend a visit once a month or more for maintenance once the pain is managed. I go when I need to personally annd don't have a particular schedule. I use my own judgement.

If you decide to go to one, please also remember that one chiro is not the same as the next. If you have a bad experience at one, the second may be more to your liking. I have been to quite a few and once I found the one that worked best with me, I will not see another.

Good luck!Health Question & Answer

I have gone to chiropractors for years (since my late teens) for low back and hip pain mostly. I often found relief through those treatments but have found in later years that the relief was more and more temporary as my joints would continue to "sublux" or go back out of place shortly after the adjustment.

I found an alternative treatment called prolotherapy that treats the ligament laxity that often causes us to go out of alignment. I have had this treatment and it has helped my back significantly. In researching, I also found that frequent chiropractic adjustments can actually contribute to this ligament laxity which can have you feeling like you need more chiropractic.

I agree also with another answerer that our condition is very much tied to our diet and other contributing health factors, but if you want more info about evaluating chiropractors, check out this link: http://www.prolonews.com/not_all_chiropr...Health Question & Answer

Yes. I got relief from migraine headaches by having my neck adjusted. You have to remember that our bodies develop habits of being a certain way and it takes time to "re-train" our bodies in a new habit. That means it can take several visits to get our bodies into a new habit or a new alignment and stay there. Chiropractics cannot help every ailment, though. I am a believer that we must be eating right, exercising and living a healthy lifestyle along with whatever alternative medicines we opt to use if we are going to see results. No one thing is a cure all. I discovered that the real culprit of my migraines was that I was allergic to dairy and wheat and now I only need occassional chiropractic adjustments as a help.Health Question & Answer

I went to a chiropractor for years for my stiff neck and scoliosis. I did not see an improvement so I went to an acupuncturist. After my first week of treatment I was symptom free. It cost me less money and my results were permanent. I am still symptom free more than 5 years after my acupuncture treatments.Health Question & Answer

I visit a NUCCA certified chiropractor, and he has changed my life. I actually have new bone growth on disks that were damaged. Not all chiropractors are genuine. Check out the site below. I am not advertising for them, or am I affiliated with them in any way.Health Question & Answer

I haven't known Chiropractors so far. Idk what to answer.Health Question & Answer
