Does anyone have experience using herbal remedies for cats?!

Question: Does anyone have experience using herbal remedies for cats.?
You can see my other questions for details on the whole issue I've been having with my kitten. Bottom line he went to the vet already for a week and came back worse, so don't tell me to "go to the vet". I've been there, done that and it didn't work. The kitten has chronic diarrhea, stool samples were clean, no infection, I took him off the antibiotics and laxative(figure that one out why did a vet give a kitten with diarrhea laxative.?). When I got him he was lethargic, disoriented, and basically ill. Before that he just had diarrhea, now I'm nursing him back to health. I've found that every time after he eats he bloats, so I've started feeding him less, more often. I am keeping him on the a/d diet from the vet but I've also put him back on the bottle with diluted KMR. So far so good.. he is bloating less and is showing some improvement. My question is this.. I looked into herbal remedies and I've started giving him about 2cc of herbal tea per feeding. Straight Chamomile, Catnip and Peppermint. All are good for stomach ailments as well as colic and bloat. So far it seems to be helping.. but I'd like any advice about this I can get. Since the vet meds didn't help and in fact made him worse, this is my only other option. There is no infection or disease the vet could find. So any herbs that you can reccomend to treat the symptoms would be great along with dosage, effects and risks. I'm doing all I can to help this kitten and so far he HAS improved. I will not take him back to that vet as I was not satisfied with the results. So I need ideas on alternative treatments.. anything will be considered. Please share all you know!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
This is going to be a short answer... but a very helpful one.

I have experienced this type of problem, and it seems that the cat has food allergies and is not digesting properly, hence the bloating and lethargy.

The cat needs digestive enzymes and probiotics immediately.

Many all natural health food stores carry such things.

Here is one site that carries them:

I have used that brand and it is awesome.

Start the cat on an all natural diet if possible.

Here is an excellent recipe:

Ingredients:
3 cups cooked chicken
2 cups rice

Directions:
This recipe is originally for 7 cats so the measurements may be off for your needs.

?Make moist rice and then allow to cool until slightly warm.
?Chop chicken into small bite size pieces. If the pieces are too large your cat may gag or choke. Make sure that there are no bones.
?Put a serving of rice into each cats bowl.
?Place chopped chicken on top of rice.
?If too dry add a little of the broth from the chicken.

Health Tip:
Use this dish when giving your felines their supplements or vitamins to mask the flavor. Simply pour the supplements and/or vitamins over the rice before adding the chicken.
You can pour a little fish oil over this meal to increase its nutritional quality.

I hope this helps. I know it has helped my animals.

Good Luck!
