Question: Friend Is Smoking Opium.?
Someone I care a lot about is smoking Opium and says he does Coke about once a month...What are the chances he will get into worse drugs...i know its pretty high but what percentage.? what is the chances he will end up buying heroin or doing something much worse.? I am really worried about him but how do i tell him without sounding like a mom.?Health Question & Answer

He may stop, I'm 16 and I've done quite a lot of drugs, but I never got addicted and I've stopped now.

Morphine can be made from Opium and then heroin is made from Morphine. if i'm not mistaken, but you might need a fresh pure source like poppy flower.
I wouldn't tell him this info if he doesn't already know, the chances are pretty high, cause the drugs are so closely related and have stronger effects.

yea my friend was the same way...smoked weed for like 5 years then started taking painkillers, then like half a year later was doing coke every now and then, by the end of that year he was taking Oxycontin, and about a month later he first tried heroin, once he got into that about 10-20 times a week, he then tried meth, which he didn't get addictied to and now use heroin on a daily basis.Health Question & Answer
Coke, Heroin, and Opium are some of the safe drugs. But you can still OD. The major drugs that you want to keep him/her away from is drugs like Meth/Crack etc. Just try talking to them.

the chnace of him getting worse is very high.... im not sure on the pecentage...if he keeps doing what he is doing, he will move on to stronger drugs like heroin.... You need to talk to him and tell him exactly how you feel.. if he is really your friend he will understand... tell him that you will help him stop the drugs or you and him can go to a professional if its that bad..... i would do something before its too late... and i hope that everything works out for the best!!!!Health Question & Answer
