One easy thing you can do is to take some Vitamin D. I didn't realize this was a factor until my hands started to cramp up. When checked my Vitamin D levels were terribly low. By simply adding this over the counter vitamin the cramps in my hands and legs have disappeared.

Oh how I know the pain of those. I get them so often and they are never mild. If I get it in one leg, the other one gets it too as well as my feet, toes, hips. I just ordered a product from an organic company that is supposed to help these. I haven't received it yet, but I can't wait to try it. Muscle cramps are caused from a lack of certain vitamins and calcium. These are in the product I ordered. And yeah, they are a big OUCH.

There are a few natural products that help with cramps in general. There's a homeopathic product called "Leg Cramps with Quinine" that I've seen, plus, you could take Magnesium and/or Potassium. I had them in my legs really bad when I was pregnant. My doctor told me to drink more water and eat a banana with breakfast to be sure that I was getting enough potassium. That worked for me....I still got one occasionally, but not every night.Health Question & Answer
