If you're really pregnant, discontinue your bp meds for now until you can be seen by your ob. The doctor can then give you anti-hypertensive meds that are safe for pregnancy. Health Question & Answer
if you have an appt in the next day or so, then it shouldn't harm you to not take your medication... but I wouldn't wait any longer than that, if your appt is further out, you should call your doctor and ask if you can safely stop taking your medication until you see him. I understand your concern for your child, but how much good will you do that child if you have a stroke and die.? Controlling blood pressure is vital in a pregnancy, both for the health of the mother and the child... you need to be very assertive in getting your answers from your doctor as soon as possible.Health Question & Answer
I would take a home pregnancy test today and see if it says you are pregnant. They are supposedly accurate 99% of the time as early as the first day of a missed period.
The second thing I would do is call your doctor's nurse and have her check to see if you should resume taking them for the time being.
Finally, I would watch my saturated fat and salt intake.
Hope all goes well.Health Question & Answer
