Answers:
The man who turned blue was an EXTREMELY RARE CASE, and judicious use of a reputable brand of colloidal silver could prove quite useful in the treatment and prevention of colds and minor infections.

First, the blue guy was making his own colloidal silver at home. The silver particle sizes were very different from commercially available CS.

Second, he was taking INSANE amounts on a regular basis. You'd have to drink several bottles of the commercially available stuff daily to even dream of attaining his hue. (BTW, I don't think he has any symptoms aside from discoloration)

Follow the recommendations on the bottle. Somewhere around a tablespoon daily at the onset of symptoms (adult dose) in water is a good place to start.

If you use a neti pot (highly recommended for allergies and sinuses), you can put a few drops in the saline prior to performing nasal irrigation. I do this on a regular basis and it works. I never get colds anymore, and I have long-haired animals and live in one of the most allergen-rich valleys in the country.Health Question & Answer

I recommend that you don't take it at all:

There is little evidence to support therapeutic claims made for colloidal silver products.
The risk to consumers of silver toxicity outweighs the value of trying an unsubstantiated treatment, and bacterial resistance to silver can occur.
Efforts should be made to curb the illegal availability of colloidal silver products, which is a significant public health issue.

EDIT: And from wikipedia:
Colloidal silver has been found to lack any antimicrobial effect, and there is no medical evidence that colloidal silver is effective for any of these claimed indications.

Currently, there are no evidence-based medical uses for colloidal silver. There are no clinical studies in humans demonstrating effectivness, and several reports of toxicity.

First of all you need to be taking ionic, not colloidal silver, but some people mean ionic when they say colloidal. You should take an oz or so orally daily and then squirt it up your nose to reach your sinuses. That will help to kill the fungus that is causing your allergies and sinus problems.

I agree with the above post about the blue guy, you will NOT turn blue.

If you are going to be using ionic silver often it is worth your while to invest in a ionic silver maker since ionic silver can be expensive to buy.Health Question & Answer

First it will do nothing for your allergies. Second taking this stuff puts you at risk for a condition that will turn all your skin blue. I saw a guy who this happened to on the tube. The guy was a deep blue color and the condition is life long, no cure. So if you want men in your life, and don't want to turn blue then don't start taking silver into your body.Health Question & Answer
