good luck with your essay thoughHealth Question & Answer

The only flaw I have seen is the abuse by those who don't really need it for pain. I knew someone who had a Rx for medical marijuana for back pain. He took this as an opportunity to make a living as a drug dealer, selling his easily obtainable product rather than use it himself. I still don't believe the abuse is enough to keep it from those it helps. There is abuse in every system but in this case I believe the benefits far outweigh the potential problems. Health Question & Answer

There are no flaws. and to the person who gave a slightly long answer about some nonsence, just because you have a medical permit doenst mean you can grow, you deffinatley can not sell moldy weed, or anything sprayed with chemicals... also the companies or what ever you want to call it that sell the marijuana, are usually the ones doing the growing. and BTW, it is still illegal under the federal level. States like california have different (and better) views.

aha "Of course these medical marijuana suppliers are illegal businesses anyways"

They are not illegal at the state level.

i really cant see a flaw because people SHOULD be able to use it for ANYTHING that might be slighly medical, im talking pulled muscles, headache anything that would be less severe when high. (18 years old that is) but I think that younger people should still be able to use it medically, maby just not by smoking it....Health Question & Answer

Why should there be a flaw.? Despite this country's war on drugs, the truth is that THC gives relief from nausea and chronic pain. My grandmother was dying of cancer and losing weight rapidly but refused to use cannabis because it was illegal. People who don't want medicinal marijuana should have to watch people dying of cancer and getting no relief from traditional drugs.
Health Question & Answer

Yes, because the suppliers for "medical" marijuana are just people who have obtained permits to use and grow it, meaning they can grow it under any conditions they chose, they can sell moldy marijuana, marijuana sprayed with chemicals (ie. perithium), or other tainted marijuana, and it is really up to the suppliers to inspect the marijuana and chose to buy it or not, which they of course resell to patients under the assumption that it is medical grade marijuana. Of course these medical marijuana suppliers are illegal businesses anyways, and the only real medical marijuana comes from government funded research centers, which are limited in numbers do to the fact that medical marijuana is illegal at the federal level.

As for actually benefiting people who have use for it, it does work, but the quality must be confirmed, and the dosage must be monitored, there are many things that marijuana is good for, but politics denies this because it is an industry that could literally take other industries out of business, its simply competition keeping it illegal. Marijuana does not contain carcinogens, especially if it really is medical grade, it is grown under certain conditions that ensure the quality of the product is contained. Carcinogens come from smoking marijuana in blunts, or zig zags, or any other paper for that matter, and it is the paper and tobacco wraps that contain the carcinogens, not the marijuana. Dont get me wrong, any smoke is bad for your lungs, but there are cleaner ways of smoking it, ie. a vaporizer, but even a bong limits the amount of bad smoke that reaches your lungs, and despite smoke reaching the lungs, it is easily extracted over a few days if not hours, not like cig smoke which literally spackles to your lungs and never goes away.Health Question & Answer

Marijuana can aggravate conditions such as depression. Plus its a temptation for non-users to toke up since grandpa does.
