How can I control my anger due to frustrations?!

Question: How can I control my anger due to frustrations.?
It is mostly school related. I am doing not so well in my Microbiology class and it has been stressing me out. I am really tired of staying in the library 5-6 hours a day when I am not working and just barely passing the test or sometimes not at all. The school does not offer tutoring and the instructor is not very reliable. This stress is turning me into a angry and sometimes cold person. IHealth Question & Answer

Hi,

I completely understand the frustration of not being able to overcome a study barrier.

I am certified in helping others learn any subject with the use of study technology. This technology has isolated the exact barriers to learning any subject. You can learn all about it at www.appliedscholastics.org.

In the meantime, in this subject (or any other you're having trouble with) go to the beginning of your materials with a dictionary that has definitions that you understand (some dictionaries just use a lot more words that need to also be looked up).

Make a list of every word you aren't sure of and start getting them defined so that YOU feel good about it.

That's probably the very best way you can spend all that time. Even just going through your material from the start and making the list of words will alleviate your frustration... I've personally observed it many times!

And when you're studying, ensure that you're well fed and well rested - you'll retain the information much better :)

Cheers,

I understand what your going through; I'm taking 12 hours a week, and I work 26 hours a week with hardly any time to study, and it stresses me out, too.

The best thing I can say is when you study, maybe you should take more breaks between the hours; get up and go for a walk for ten minutes. also, maybe you should try talking to the instructor again; you are paying them to teach you, right.? So it only makes sense that they should help you.

Dropping the class might be a possibility. I'm not telling you that you should completely give up, but if it is drawing near the end of the semester and you feel as though it's not working out, then it would be better to take an incomplete grade than to take an F; that will lower your G.P.A

You could try hypnosis for relaxation or a few yoga poses every day. It sounds cheezy but just taking a little time out to get your mind in the right space could really help you retain the knowledge you are trying to absorb.Health Question & Answer

Vitamin B1 is great for stress. One can become emotional when one has lower levels of B1. Some things that reduce B1 are alcohol and stress itself. Good to take Vit C and Calcium as they all work well together.Health Question & Answer
