when i roll mine i usually put a filter in it, and all of my friends also do. if you don't, how do you smoke it without a filter.? Wouldn't you just suck up the weed when you take a hit.? i've never tried so i was curiousHealth Question & Answer

I used to roll up a little piece of paper and use it as a filter/spacer in my joints. But then I would always be greeted with a bitter taste at the end of my joint letting me know that it was over.
Now I just roll them without the spacer. You twist the end of the paper slightly so that you can still suck through it but no plant matter will come through. Then when you smoke you simply pinch it from one side, create suction by pushing your lips against your fingers and inhale.
The issue with this method is you are left with some herb at the end that will be difficult to smoke. You can get a roach clip to smoke it or you can take it out and pack it into your next joint.

No, you don't suck up and weed if you close off the end of the joint, leaving a slit to smoke from. Smoking weed with a filter doesn't make much since to me. You still get a huge drag without weed getting in your mouth without filtering anything out.
What is it you are trying to filter out exactly that pinching the end of the joint won't do.? Just don't pack a ton of weed that the end of the joint you can kinda close up the end of it.

Hell no, all it does is make it difficult to smoke and lessens the effects, and it really doesent make it any less harmless. If you want to go harmless get a vaporizer, the best money I ever spent, you get the high, you dont feel like crap after you smoke, the weed goes twice (or better) as far, and you dont screw up your lungs with tar and other carcinagins, I love my vaporizer. If your going to smoke joints and pipes, go filter free.Health Question & Answer
