How do I report a nurse in the UK?!

Question: How do I report a nurse in the UK.?
My mum went to see a nurse in London, who said that he could so a scan that would show all her health problems. She said he put electrodes on her and used some sort of machine to do a scan. She is not sure what it was. The nurse told her that she has arthritis - which she already knew and that she has worms. He gave her a box of tea, which from what I can see is just Hoodia. He also gave her some tablets called VIVA-O, which contain Notopterygium Root. He sold her 4 bottles of Noni juice for

I am a RN in the UK and this person was NOT a Nurse! I am sorry your Mum has had to go through this.

You should contact the police and also the NMC - the professional body for Nurse and Midwives in the UK. Have as many details as you can to hand, dates, names times, addresses etc.

Good Luck and yes, Nurses in the UK are subject to heavy regulation so this person was acting illegally.Health Question & Answer

This is not a proper nurse. The police would be a good place to report someone falsely claiming to be a nurse. The local NHS trust would also be keen to hear about a real nurse doing things outside his sphere of authority.Health Question & Answer

The guys is a quack. I think you should start with the police.

i don't think you pay for private medical care if its cash so you could contact the police if no look with contacting NHS to see if they know about thisHealth Question & Answer

You can check to see if this person is registered with your local health authority.

It looks like your poor mum has been hoodwinked, and that you really should report this slimy man to the police.

I cannot stand to think that some people are so evil they would take advantage of a sick woman like this, or any person. She should also check with her GP that the medication he gave her, if that is indeed what it is, agrees with her symptoms and diagnoses.

I hope you get justice and that this slime is locked away.Health Question & Answer

Sorry to hear your Mum was duped by this person & he definitely needs to be reported to someone before he does irreparable damage to someone else.Have you tried getting in touch with your local Health Authority there address will be on the front of your Mum's NHS medical card, you can report it to the Police, Trading Standards etc but think the Health Authority would be best as they have records of all Medical staff on thier lists.Good luckHealth Question & Answer
