I have taken a bulk forming laxative that has swelled , and stuck in my throat/chest, what can I do to fix it?!
Question: I have taken a bulk forming laxative that has swelled , and stuck in my throat/chest, what can I do to fix it.?
It is not causing me to choke however it is uncomfortable and hurts my chest. Any suggestions.?Health Question & Answer

since it is not blocking your breathing passageways, try drinking WARM water. Then take a 15 minute walk.
also, are you sure it isn't acid reflux from the laxative.? yes, it is a possibility because acid reflux often feels as if something is stuck in your esophagus.
Which brings me to how is your heart.? Are you positive you are not having a heart attack.? Most heart attacks don't occur like we see on TV, often just a large amount of pressure in the esophagus/throat that doesn't go away. This is sometimes accompanied by a feeling of pressure or difficult breathing, like trying to catch your breath.

Drink as much water as you can and keep doing so for the rest of the day maybe the next two days.Health Question & Answer
go to the emergency room....and maybe more water is not good...maybe it will increase the mass...not sure....but this is an emergency room issue Health Question & Answer
