I know I'm repeating what others have said, but some of it can't be said enough.

I like the idea of Pho or any good broth and noodles, plus LOTS of water to both re-hydrate you and flush the nasty alcohol metabolites out of your system. Gatoraid is good, and it does help, but it also has lots of sugars in it which can make you retain water a little bit. The alcohol has already broken down into sugars in your body, so something like broth is better, really. Drink in moderation, or at least slow it down and eat something - anything, pretzels, chips, whatever - while you're drinking and before. Don't mix the type of drinks you have during the time you're boozin' and if you drink beer along with the hard stuff, drink the beer *first*. Before you go to bed and pass out for the night try to chug down a pint or two of water. Drink more water soon as you get up along with a vitamin tab - the Midol idea is good because it makes you urinate more and speeds up the process of flushing your system. A few activated charcoal tablets or caps along with the water before you turn in for the night isn't a bad idea either, it'll help soak up some of the alcohol in your system.


If your hangover is *really* bad in the morning, repeat the magic words: "I'm never going to drink this much every again" It's almost a requirement. lolHealth Question & Answer

Here are some tips I've picked up over the years:

- Never fall asleep until you sober up a little, the more sober you are when you fall alseep, the less severe of a hangover you will have.

- Never have a beer as your last drink, when you are done drinking, try to drink some gatorade or something non-alcoholic.

- EAT!!! Never drink without eating.

I wouldn't say don't drink but I will say drink to the point before you know drinking any more will get you hung over.
Eating bread/ chips and drinking some water may help as it helps to soak up the liquor in your blood.
also don't mix drinks as I can drink several drinks and not be effected but if I have say a glass of vodka, a beer and a glass of wine my head will feel like its cracked in half the next day.

Take milk thistle (get it in health food shops) before you go out, eat well before you start drinking. When you get home, drink lots of water before you go to bed. When you get up, more water and a couple of aspirin or paracetamol (aspirin can irritate your stomach). Have a good carbohydrate-rich breakfast, cereal, toast etc and keep drinking fluids. 2 Excedrin Migraine, gatorade, and a banana.

Here is the rule I used...
Beer then liquor,
