I HAVE AN OVER ABUNDANCE OF CARTILIAGE AND IT STARTED ON MY CHEEK LAST YR. I HAD THAT REMOVED THEN IT RETURNED ON MY FORHEAD IN JANUARY NOW IT'S SPREADING DOWN MY FACE AND DOWN MY BACK AND THE DOCTORS DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO I'M IN PAIN EVEN WITH PAIN MEDICINE! 3 SCANS NO CANCER BUT ITS TAKINMG OVER MY BODY I'M GONNA DIE!Health Question & Answer

My sister has a similar condition that's an extreme case of scleraderma. She was misdiagnosed with edema at first and it took a really long time for the doctors to figure out what was wrong. It causes her extreme pain. Her jaw broke under the stress of it all. The point is she is not dying. She has a very painful condition that continues to spread all over her body. And I'm sorry there is no cure for her either. It's hard to develope a cure when there are only four people in the united states that have the same condition. But then again there is no cure for endometreosis either and five million women suffer from that (including me) I do not think you will die from this although it sounds like it is very disfiguring.
