Diarrhea from multivitamin?!
Question: Diarrhea from multivitamin.?
I've been starting to take vitamins lately but I've found that a couple different brands of multivitamins I've tried have given me diarrhea. I'm not sure if it's from a food allergy (dairy, gluten, and I also have candida), something else, or I was wondering if maybe the vitamins themselves are shocking my system or something since I've probably been deficient. Is that possible.?Health Question & Answer

Multivitamins can cause diarrhea when your body rejects. You are obviously getting enough vitamins from your food and are taking too much in. If you're on one a day and find it happens after a few days, of course that's it.
Check with your doctor to see if you do need to take them. He'll know if/what you are deficient in and recommend the right one to take. Sometimes the ones with Iron are the cause, if you're getting too much iron - you get diarrhea and don't feel well.
See your doctor - or someone well up on vitamins.Health Question & Answer

If you have a Candida infection the vitamin/mineral supplement can 'feed' the Candida. This can induce rapid yeast growth and rapid production of toxic metabolites - which might be the cause of your diarrhea.
It would be best to cure the Candida infection - then start a supplement program.
Best wishes and good luck.
p.s. No QUALITY vitamin/mineral supplement will contain dairy or gluten products.Health Question & Answer
