PMS is an advanced state related mainly to aging. Trying to fix this yourself would be like trying to learn how to defuse a nuclear bomb with only 24 hours and a dozen, torn-up textbooks for guidance. It's not nearly as dire a situation, PMS...but you really do need someone that knows what they're doing to avoid the pitfalls that befall those that self-diagnose and self-prescribe.

See an accredited doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine:

You will notice obvious results after your first visit.

It is also affordable. Fitting this into your budget is easy once you see the results. Do try to find the most experienced practitioner in your area since your condition is advanced. Believe me, the hour each way it takes me to see my doctor of choice is well worth it. You might be lucky and have a great one only minutes from your home. Visits for acupuncture are usually once a week and herbs are changed only as often as your condition calls for. Even going once every 10 days (=3 times a month) can be well worth it. Ask for help on your diet, foods to avoid, foods to eat more of, and also when to sleep , how much to exercise, etc. All of these things will make a major difference.

Until your appointment, read up:

also, until then: avoid these things as they are associated with strong PMS symptoms (as my mother has told me of her three sisters):
Sugar, Salt(do not add it ever), flour, coffee, tea, fried foods, chips, soda, artificial sweetners, frozen foods, frozen meals, excess meat ( 6 oz. of any type of white-flesh fish a day is all that is needed.)
----Avoid between meal snacking.
----Avoid eating after 6:30pm.

Add in:
Dry grains like oats, barley, rye,
Beans: black beans are especially good for you. also try adzuki beans, mung beans, lentils of all colors,
More vegetables: make sure to steam them. You can steam root vegetables if you cut numerous super-thin slices off with a peeler.
-----Get to -sleep- before 10:30pm.
-----Only exercise to bring on a -light- sweat. Once you reach that you can quit for the day. Since PMS is associated with Yin Deficiency I might even go so far as to say do nothing but walk for 15 minutes twice a day...with -no- sweating at all costs.

My mother (61 y.o.) lives like this and has avoided almost all PMS symptoms that her three sisters have had (both older and younger than her). Try this and go for further guidance from a TCM doctor. It's worth it.
