You have to realize you have a stammering problem, and get over the fact you have it. The best advice I heard was on true life: I stutter, when someone said "The moment you stop focusin on fixing it, the easier it will be to accept it." When you stop trying, and start living somethings go away in their own time.

I stuttered for a big part of my childhood, for me it was the "W"s and my last name starts with a W. My parents took me to a speech professional, but the results lasted temporarily. In high school I wanted to speak in front of people, but afraid to and it made me really shy. Towards the end of high school, it was evident that I stuttered to everyone, so I just talked as if I didnt care, and suddenly I got over it. Occasionally I stutter when I'm excited, arguing, really nervous, but after awhile it goes away when I calm down and feel more comfortable.

Probably not the asnwer you wanted but, Hope this helps!Health Question & Answer

There was a popular singer in the US named Mel Tillis, he had a terrible stuttering problem, but when he sang he never missed a beat.

Interesting.

Have you tried to speak more slowly, to picture your words before you speak as if you are reciting lyrics, or even to practice by reading aloud.? I'm not an expert, but I think any of those things would be worth trying.Health Question & Answer

Hi shahab a,
My family friend used to stammer REALLY bad. But he learned to think what he is going to say, then say it in a slow controlled matter. Then he started talking ,without the stammer and i cant believe how good he is at talking clearly vs the old him. Just practice saying things slowly , practice makes perfect. Now and then he stammers but its like how "regular" folks stammer. Good luck.Health Question & Answer

I stutter/stammer very badly as well, especially when I have to present an essay at school or when I get called on during class. What I usually do it think of what I'm about to say BEFORE I say it.

So if I were to say, "Hey, how are you.?"
I'd think over it, then say it slowly.

Try that. :)Health Question & Answer

I know how it difficult it is to get over this problem and, based on my own experience, I would suggest seeking professional advice on it.Health Question & Answer
