What's the difference in all the Omega's?!

Question: What's the difference in all the Omega's.?
I take a supplement with 3-6-9 combo ....is DHA really Omega 3.?

I'm trying to get my son on Omega's....he's a picky eater though so I was thinking a combo of 3-6-9 (plus DHA.?) would be good for him.

ThanksHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
Yes, DHA is one of the Omega-3 fatty acids. It's the main one that's responsible for brain health among other things.
As long as your son is willing to take the Omega 3-6-9 combo, that would be a good way to get that nutrition for him.

"Omegas" are actually a classification of nutrients similar to how "vitamins" is a classification of nutrients. The overall difference between the different Omegas (like Omega 3 vs Omega 6) are like the differences between any two given vitamins... they each have their own different benefits.

Yes. Give it to your son all of it is okay for lower low density cholesterol, brain development, mood stabilization, metabolic control, and so much more. All have the number of molecular tails mentioned and all 3-6-9 work best together. That ratio maximizes absorption and DHA is also found in eyes and almost all neural tissue. The Omega's & DHA are an important part in protecting all of neural tissue & muscle tissue. This one study said this can reduce the risk of alzheimer's and help remove plaques in the brain. Good Luck.Health Question & Answer

Salmon fillets, marinated in Italian salad dressing overnight, at least. Then broiled (on the grill preferably, but in the oven will work). See how he likes that. Salmon (if it's not farm raised) has loads of Omega 3. And it's delicious (no fishy taste at all.) If he's young, mash it up.Health Question & Answer

You really only need an Omega 3, everythinh else you can get from your diet. Try flax oil, by the spoonful, not the capsules.Health Question & Answer
