I have a massage gift certificate and the therapist won't call me back to schedule an appt. I've been to her ?!

Question: I have a massage gift certificate and the therapist won't call me back to schedule an appt. I've been to her .?
2 other times before, b/c I had been given gift certificates. i emailed her twice and called her once, all about a month ago The woman who gave me the gift certificates is friends with her and told me she was meaning to put me on her schedule, but just hasn't had the chance to. I know she's not too busy b/c she has been spending time with the friend, going for walks, meeting up. What would you do about this.? just throw out the gift certificate and forget about it.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Keep calling her. Just because she is going for walks etc with your friend doesn't mean anything. She has work and play hours too. If the woman who gave you the GC is friends with her maybe she isn't paying her for the GC so she isn't so inclined to do the work. Tell your friend who gave you the GC that she isn't responding again. You can give it to anyone you want most likely. She is just being flakey.Health Question & Answer

What are the terms and policies for gift certificates with this practitioner.? They should either be included with the gift certificate or listed on her website. This will help you determine whether: a) the gift certificate is still valid (not past the expiration date), b) you can transfer it to a friend, c) whether it is refundable or not.

Since massage therapy is a service industry the practitioner can reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. However, she cannot deny you requesting a refund to your friend or allowing you to transfer the gift certificate to someone else. If the gift certificate is expired you may be able to still use it with a small service charge fee. Check your state's laws on gift certificates too before seeking further action.Health Question & Answer

Send her the gift certificate with a polite note that says if she doesn't want your business, you don't want to bother her. Indicate that you were looking for a good massage therapist, and that you're still looking. Health Question & Answer

Keep calling and demand an appointment. The gift certificate means that the session has been paid for. She's obligated to deliver the service.Health Question & Answer

You need to call Your State Attorney General office and turn her in. Do not send her the gift certificate. That is your proof.Health Question & Answer

I would call and leave a message and tell her it's very unprofessional of her. If she doesn't call you back, then report her to the BBB.Health Question & Answer

Give the gift certificate as a gift to someone else.Health Question & Answer
