Healing? What sort of work is this?!
Question: Healing.? What sort of work is this.?
Is using herbs to heal and do other things, ok.? Is it bad.? I was told that it was ok. Is it an ok practice of Christians.? Does God put people here to be healers.? I was told by another Christian that he does. ThankxHealth Question & Answer

herbs has been used for healing purpose from the beginning of time when man realized that some of the plants, fruits,flowers and roots can be eaten. as for the energy work all of us have it in us. some are more attuned to it and some are not. it is a matter of faith. jesus had said that we all as children of can do everything that he could do, we just lost that kind of faith needed. we doubt our self and in the process have lost our connection to our creator. we can't perform the miracles that came to easy to our Savior. some of us who still have faith in our lord and believe that we were created in his image do find that gift of healing to an extant. god has a purpose for all of us. when we live by his word we will fulfill our purpose. we all fall from time to time, but those who follow the word of god find strength to get up and move on. but do ask for the permission before doing any energy healing, because when one is using energy to do any healing you are entering that persons energy field. that is similar to envision of privacy at the highest level. you can't force you will on anyone, even if it is for their good. Healer, I was told by one of my teachers the only person you can heal is yourself. You can give a person herbs to help the body heal.
I know herbs work. I help people with herbs all the time.
I am a christian, there is nothing wrong using herbs, the Bible talks about herbs.
Just like you can't force someone to love the Lord, you can't force someone to use herbs.

The question you ask is a very serious one and complex.
1. Using herbs to heal can be okay if you have extensive knowledge about herbs and what they can be used for. Some herbs can help the body, others can destroy it, so be careful and know your herbs.

2. Is it right by God.? I know many practicing Christians that use herbs as part of their daily supplements and their is nothing in the Bible that I know of that forbids us from eating herbs in general. Herbs are parts of plants, we eat plants every day, fruits, veggies and so on, but only parts of the plant, the part that is healthy for us, so overall, I would say this is fine by God but since this is a personal issue I would suggest praying on it a lot and you will get the answer you seek from above more than anywhere else.
3. Do herbs work.? Yes, the right ones for the right reasons do work, but again, know your herbs and what they are used for.
4. As far as "healing" goes, and being a healer sent by God.. I feel the best way to heal is through faith. I guess this is where folks get the name "faith healer" from. I myself had a very rare skin disease when I was young, I put my faith in God and did not wavier or question why it happened to me, just focused on the fact that faith in God could heal me, now 30 years later I leave this message on this board and to this day I feel that the faith healed me more than anything.
