Question: What is homeopathic treatment.? Does it work very well.?
I read all these things about homeopathic treatment for homesickness.. but dunno what it means.

homeopathy is based on the concept of like cures like(which has no medical basis). for example say you want to treat your inability to sleep regularly, they would take something that causes the same problem, caffeine for instance, and dilute it in water. their ideology is that the more diluted a substance is the more powerful the effect of that substance has, in the opposite direction, so caffeine will allow you to sleep better when super diluted(so they claim).
there are two problems
first is that the level of dilution that is the average for homeopathy is so great that the original chemical that was being diluted in water, is no longer present in the water. the body responds to real chemicals not imaginary chemicals so there is no reason what so ever to even suggest that these treatments actually have an effect at this point.
second is that they have yet to prove their claims in actual credible scientific experiments, which is required by the FDA if you want to claim that your "drug" cures some illness(which is why these things are only vaguely called "treatments")
