What is high tech meditation?!

I believe it is where a person uses audio equipment that produces binal sounds that induces changes in the brainwave pattern. There are many companies that produce CD's for home use also. They place you in varying levels of brain wave activity stating they will help you by-pass years of meditation practice in a short period of time.
