Question: Do you find meditation helpful.?
I've tried to do it a few times and while it feels great and relaxing at the time, I find that my stress levels actually go up within a few days. I don't know if this is my mind's way of trying to rebel against being silenced.? Health Question & Answer

Very much so. It can be very beneficial to stay with it; the longer you meditate, the more at peace you will become. But the point is not to 'silence' your thoughts; just not allow them to take over, distract your real purpose. Having a pen and paper handy can help when you start out, as you can write down any thoughts that come to mind - rather than resist them, fight or try to send them away. It is very helpful. If you can make a regular/daily habit, you'll be great.
It can also aid you hugely if you have someone who "knows this stuff" to walk you through a meditation exercise or two.
