Question: Does anyone know what can be used to hide or cure halitosis..?
Something that has nothing to do with a dentist. Or have to buy some 'guaranteed' product. Home solution only. Thank you.Health Question & Answer

Eat fresh, raw parsley & buy a tongue scraper. Use mouth wash regularly. All the best.Health Question & Answer

Its better to find the cause as it will be easier to treat. It could just be from the mouth itself so flossing at least once a day, brushing the tongue as well as teeth twice a day and using a mouthwash that is strongly antibacterial should help. For a mouthwash either buy a proprietory one such as Corsodyl or Dentyl pH or one from a health store that has some natural antibacterial ingredients or make up your own using grapefruit seed extract and myrrh in cooled chamomile tea. Grapefruit seed extract is antibacterial and myrrh is too. Chamomile tea is an anti-inflammatory so will help with anything like inflamed gums. Use about 5 drops of GSE per cup of chamomile tea/water. Follow the instructions on the bottle for myrrh. The cause could be much deeper so if none of this works then you may have some deeper underlying cause which only your doctor could address. Seek medical advice if hygiene methods do not work.

its not exactly a home solution but my boyfriend used to have really bad breath. he got a tongue scrapper thing(it takes all the left over bacteria off your tongue) and he also rinses with mouthwash every time he brushes his teeth. and now it doesn't smell as bad. i got one for about $2-$3 at wal*mart.Health Question & Answer

Extermely good oral hygiene. Brushing 3/ day. Flossing . Swishing for at least 1 minute with Listerine or generic eq. after every brushing. Tongue scraping may help. Avoid smelly foods .
If you think there may be a problem area in your mouth ,maybe some soreness, or seemingly loose teeth ,concentrate the swishing in that area. If it don't go away or get better, a dentist may be the next step.Health Question & Answer

I have one solution. I've heard it can work, but I don't have halitosis. Try swishing some vinegar. Health Question & Answer
